The Distillery
Silver Brothers is a terroir-driven whiskey distillery in New York State's Hudson River Valley. Our distillery is situated on a historic 220-acre farm where we grow organic rye and barley for our American Single Malt and Rye whiskeys.
Our process emphasizes traditional methods and harnesses the unique characteristics of our location to create a whiskey with a true sense of place.
Our first estate grain harvest was in 2022 and our spirits production commenced in 2023.

All or our whiskeys are distilled, barreled, and aged onsite. We expect our first release to be ready in the late spring of 2026.
The Farm
Silver Brothers Spirits Company is situated on a bucolic 220-acre farm in Old Chatham, New York. An active farm for over two hundred and fifty years, the property is also the original site of Shaker Museum (founded in 1950) as well as the Old Chatham Sheepherding Co., which formerly operated the property as a country inn with one of nation’s earliest farm to table restaurants (c.1990s), and an expansive sheep dairy that produced artisanal cheese and yogurt onsite.
In 2020 Silver Brothers Spirits Company was established with the intention of continuing the property’s agricultural traditions with a farm distillery dedicated to crafting whiskeys from grain grown on the property.
